The DiSC Profile, Explained: How Two Identical DiSC Styles Can be Unique

Today's leaders are being asked to deliver results, navigate constant change, develop their people, build trust, and keep teams engaged, often while managing increasing complexity and pressure themselves.
If organizations want stronger leaders and better performance, supporting leaders has to be part of the strategy.
Think about what we expect from managers and leaders today.
We want them to communicate clearly through change. Coach and develop employees. Build trust. Create accountability. Engage different generations and working styles. Navigate uncertainty. Make good decisions quickly. Keep people connected to the organization's purpose. And, of course, deliver results.
Those expectations aren't unreasonable. They reflect what organizations need from leadership today.
But they do raise an important question: Are we giving leaders the support and leadership development they need to meet them?
That's one of the questions we'll explore in our upcoming complimentary webinar, Human-Centered Leadership: Supporting Leaders, Strengthening Performance.
Human-centered leadership can sometimes sound like a "soft" approach to leadership. In reality, it is deeply connected to performance.
Leaders shape the everyday experience of work. How they communicate, listen, coach, set expectations, respond to mistakes, recognize contributions, and follow through all influence how people show up.
Those leadership behaviors affect trust, engagement, accountability, collaboration, and ultimately performance.
That's why human-centered leadership isn't about asking leaders to choose people over results. It's about helping them understand that how they lead people is one of the ways they achieve results.
The environment leaders are working in has changed. Leadership training and development should evolve with it.
Leaders need more than knowledge of good leadership practices. They need opportunities to strengthen the behaviors that help them lead effectively when priorities compete, pressure rises, teams change, and the right answer isn't always obvious.
That includes building trust while maintaining accountability. Coaching instead of always solving. Communicating with clarity even when leaders don't have every answer. Listening well while still moving work forward. And creating the conditions for people to perform without ignoring their own capacity to lead.
For HR and talent leaders, this creates an opportunity to look beyond what we expect from leaders and consider what we're doing to help them succeed.
On Thursday, August 20, FlashPoint Leadership CEO and Founder Krista Skidmore will explore these challenges in our complimentary webinar, Human-Centered Leadership: Supporting Leaders, Strengthening Performance.
We'll look at current research, leadership trends, and what we're seeing across organizations to explore:
